Helpful Information for your Banquet
Gaining
Access to the Facility:
Decorating,
Cake Delivery & DJ/Band Set up - Wedding receptions are allowed
to bring in outside desert vendors for the wedding cake and DJs
therefore we would like to provide
two telephone numbers that should be in turn provided to delivery people
like the DJ/Band or the cake people.
The numbers are 989-781-2120, which is the primary direct line into the
facility. Both
the DJ and cake people should call and verify what time they want to gain
access to the facility. Depending on the availability of the facility you
may be able to access the facility to decorate the day before your event.
To schedule such access it should be discussed at the three (3)
week meeting with your Glow banquet coordinator.
Estimating
your Banquet Attendance:
Also
for RSVP we suggest that you call your people that have not responded so
to make sure that they in fact are not coming.
This will mitigate your having quests show up that are not planned,
meaning not enough seats or food has been prepared.
When estimating attendance you may want to figure for every
invitation times it by two (2) and then figure that anywhere from sixty
(60) to seventy (70) percent will show up.
Therefore if you sent out two hundred invites times 2 that would be
400 and 60% of that would get you to an estimate of 240 quests attending.
This is just a way to get an idea and is not absolute that’s why its
important to have RSVP and then call the people that didn't respond to
play it safe.
Typical
Event Summary:
The
Golden Glows services are contemplated on a six (6) hour event and for a
wedding starting at 6:00pm and ending at midnight. For wedding receptions
the following is a typical event summary although we can also provide the
facility to actually host the ceremony.
(additional fee may be required)

released to food lines first then a Glow attendant will come to your guest
table to release your table to the food line.
Guest "Do Not" goes to the food lines until a Glow
attendant releases your table. It
should only take 30 to 35 minutes to get everyone thru the lines and the
bar "will" be open thru dinner.
7:30
– Cutting of the Cake- The DJ
announce that bride and groom will be cutting cake (the Glow will provide
plastic plates and forks and serving trays however the Glow does not cut

two hundred people for every hundred above two hundred add one server.
